Final Reflection

Let's keep this short and sweet. I sit here writing this reflection filled with so much gratitude and nostalgia. I have dreamed of an experience like this since middle school and needless to say, I think 12–year–old, angsty Beia would be oh so satisfied! I prioritized taking moments throughout the trip to pause and feel the present in hopes of absorbing as much as possible (the Frederiksborg Castle gardens, Tisvildeleje beach, long bike rides, and the iconic downpour being amongst my favorite). From finding my way across the world by myself for the first time, to setting foot on the same lend as my ancestors, to living and studying a completely new way of life, I have expanded my personal identity more than ever before. Traveling, also, with an artistic lens has broadened my creative mindsets and aspirations in ways I cannot measure. I will hold these experiences, lessons, and newfound perspectives close to my heart (and permanently on my ankle) forever. I'll be back soon...
