Day 14 — Art n' roller Coasters

Today was a much needed sunny day in the city. We began with a tour of the Rosenborg Castle (my neighbor for

this trip!) which houses the Danish crown jewels. Then we biked across town to Reffen for lunch and Copenhagen Contemporary Kunstcenter exploration. The Kunstcenter was showing a "Light & Space" exhibit that was unlike anything I've ever seen. While many of the works prohibited photography, I was fully immersed in drastically different artistic perspectives: using light and shadow to form pattern, depth (or lack thereof), and atmosphere. Many of the pieces were indescribable but ran along the lines of a sophisticated, minimal, and contemporary Meow Wolf (if you know what I mean). We ended the day at Tivoli Gardens, the oldest amusement park in Europe, with roller coasters and

ice cream. Feeling grateful for this day of sun before another rainy week.
