Today we got the opportunity to talk with Yoke
studios, one of the few studios we've seen that offer
a drastically different approach to design: relational art. From interactive museum exhibits to office instillations to massive sculpture work, Yoke makes
the human experience become part of the art. While
I tend to lean more 2D when it comes to design, Yoke introduces a new realm of making art, communication, and education interactive. I particularly loved hearing about their upcoming "chandelier" for a Swedish life science university building. Going through their creative processes and intentions behind the piece was very inspiring and helped to shed light on commonalities across all creative projects (i.e. adapting ideas, hating mockups, troubleshooting, etc.).

The rest of the day was spent exploring the Copenhagen city center (may or may not have been scouting tattoo studios). We ended the day at the famous Distortion music festival that was... interesting. More tomorrow!
Tak,
Beia
