Hvass & Hannibal was the perfect start to the week. When looking at their website the night before, I knew I would like their work, but to see it in person was even more inspiring. I feel such a deep connection not only to this country but its art/design styles as well; this studio really emulates the facet of Scandinavian design that I love and draw
a lot of my inspiration from (not to mention they are woman owned!). It was really interesting to hear from Nan Na,
one of the senior designers and owners, as she explained their creative process and how it has adapted over the years. Her insight into working with clients, adapting, and sticking with your gut gave me a lot of ideas for my own creative practice. Seeing studios like these help to further motivate my creativity and excitement for my future in design.

We ended the day with a lovely lunch (a sort of Danish tapas!) and a nice stroll through the Botanical Gardens in downtown CPH (while the weather was still nice). Once the weather took a turn, though, we rode the Metro to the aquarium along the eastern coast. Overall, I enjoyed this relaxed biking day filled with art, plants, and little fish!
Tak,
Beia
